Visitors to Horringford now have the choice of B&B accommodation at Blandings, or catering for themselves in the adjacent Pond Cottage.

They both have the advantage of an ideal location, set in delightful countryside, but with easy access to the rest of the Island. Nowhere is more than half an hour's drive, and there is a cycle route (old railway line) almost adjacent.

The proximity of the cycle route from Cowes to Sandown (A23) makes Horringford the perfect location for cyclists. Cycles and equipment are available for hire in the village and can be delivered ready for your use.

How to find us

From Newport

Follow the A3056 south through Arreton past Stickworth Hall, the traffic lights and the sign for the A23 cycle route. After 200 metres, just before the 50mph sign, take a U turn to the left. There is a sign for Horringford Gardens. Drive down through the poplar trees and take the first turning to the right, Behind the trees on your left is Blandings. First turning on left takes you down the hill to Pond Cottage.

From Sandown

Follow the A3056 north towards Arreton past the Fighting Cocks (left) and the large greenhouses (right). Just after the 40mph sign, take the unmade road on the right. There is a sign for Horringford Gardens. Drive down through the poplar trees and take the first turning to the right, Behind the trees on your left is Blandings. First turning on left takes you down the hill to Pond Cottage.

SatNav Users Beware!

Your SatNav may well instruct you to turn West to Stickworth Hall at the South end of Arreton. DON'T! We are on the other side of the main road. Please follow our instructions above.

Travel

We are happy to make ferry bookings for you and may be able to obtain discounts on published fares. Please feel free to Contact us. The following links may be useful. Bookings are required for cars and their passengers, but not foot-passengers.

	Portsmouth to Fishbourne & Yarmouth to Lymington routes (car ferries). Also, foot-passengers only from Portsmouth to Ryde Pier Head.
	Southampton to East Cowes route (car ferry). There is also a high-speed passenger-only service from West Cowes to Southampton.
	You may also take the Hovercraft from Southsea to Ryde Esplanade. Foot passengers only (no booking necessary).
	Through train services from Waterloo and other main line stations via Portsmouth Harbour and Ryde to Shanklin Station.
	Buses & Trains on the Isle of Wight. This site includes useful Island town maps. Downs Breezer (open-top bus) every half hour during the season from the end of Pond Cottage drive to Ryde. Ordinary bus (with roof) to Newport every half hour.
